What a great weekend!

We were so lucky to have had such a fantastic Easter weekend. On Saturday, we went over to Southern Pines, NC and met up with Pat's dad and Dianne to see Pat's granddad. Does anyone know where the name "Pans" came from? (That's what everyone calls him.) I think he enjoyed seeing Sawyer, and I know Pat really enjoyed getting to see his granddad. It was so neat to see four generations of McDonough men together. Call me biased, but I think they just keep getting better looking with each new generation. :)

Then on Easter Sunday, Trudy, Denny and Greg came up to our house and we had dinner together. It is so cool that we're close enough now (and have a house) that we can get together like this! I enjoyed so much having everyone over and I'm so glad we had the house intact (enough) to do it. Don't you love his little Easter outfit??!?! My sister got that shirt for him specifically for Easter, and I took a picture of him next to his Easter basket that is kind of like the one my mom has of all of us on our first, second, third...all Easters. Sawyer was so good, too. He slept through the night Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night. He actually broke his record on Sunday night, sleeping from about 11 to after 8! Woohoo!! And I actually kinda went in and woke him up. It is crazy how much he's changing every day. He held a rattle this morning and brought it up to his mouth to chew on it, he's rolling over a lot more often in his sleep, he's rubbing his eyes when he gets tired, his cries are becoming much more recognizable, depending what he wants or needs, and all of his hair is falling out! He still has that oh-so-handsome "Friar Tuck" (as Aunt Trudy coined) tuft of hair at the back of his neck that leads into a classy rat tail, but it's thinning out every day, too. He's also still laughing, but he went about three days without doing it. I wanted him to bust out in a giggle so badly while everyone was here, but he waited till this morning to do it. Pat still hasn't even seen him really laugh yet.

Oh I have to include the pictures of Pat and his dad doing the Marine Corps martial arts moves. I hope everyone enjoys these. In the first one, Pat is giving his dad the "EYE GOUGE" and his dad is doing the defensive move for it. And then in the second and third ones, Pat is doing some "handgun takedown" or something and his dad is acting as the bad guy with the gun. Now that's the Easter spirit.
