A Ton of Updates!

It has been too long since I last wrote anything on here, but I have good reasons why that is. First of all - every room in the entire house is painted now (except for our bedroom, which will happen sometime this week), we've been adding to our furniture collection and putting the rooms "together", I've been doing a "bootcamp" at a local cross fit gym, we've had a bunch of guests in town, we went to a wedding in Atlanta (Sawyer's first! We hung out in the ladies' room during the ceremony just in case he got fussy - you'll see a picture in the slideshow), I started working again for the company I worked for while we were in California (part time, from home), we're having a fence put up in the backyard and I met with a few different guys for estimates; they start TOMORROW MORNING!! Also, Sawyer doesn't nap much!

So here is the new stuff with Sawyer: At his 4 month appointment, he weighed 16 lbs, 6 oz, and he was 27.25" long. He's a big boy! He can also roll over from his back to his tummy now, which is so much fun. He can sit if he's got his hands on the ground in front of himself, too. He's always grabbing his toes and constantly drooling and chewing on anything he can get his hands on, and everything he gets his hands on goes directly to his mouth. He's eating oatmeal and bananas and sweet potatoes and of course rice cereal, and he chews (gums) on big carrots sometimes, too. He also thinks Molly is just hilarious nowadays, too. That makes me really happy, because I can play with Molly so she doesn't feel forgotten and Sawyer laughs at us, so we can all have fun at the same time. Oh he also went on his first boat ride this weekend; thank you, Uncle Denny!!

The house is really coming along. We still have some things we need to hang up on walls, but for the most part, we're done. Some rooms had to painted twice, but hey - if that's the worst thing that happened...we're doing pretty well I guess. The furniture we added includes a sofa for the living room (in the front of the house, not the big green room) with a pull-out bed, a sofa-looking futon and large bookcase for the "study", a nightstand for the guest bedroom, a glass-door bookcase that matches the nightstand in the foyer, a kitchen table, Sawyer's crib, and my Mother's Day present - a glider for Sawyer's room. It is Heavenly. It RECLINES, people!!! Oh, we also got a 46" TV and a TV stand for Pat's birthday/Father's Day. And the fence is being replaced this week with a 6' privacy fence; I am so excited to have that over and done with!

Our out of town guests have been Amanda, Sara and Sophia, and Dan and Emily. (Next week, I will have about 20 more names for that list!) It was so great getting to see everyone and it kinda reminded us how close we are to family now and it is such a good feeling. For example - when people came to visit us in California, I cried every time anyone left. NOW - I'm like, "Thanks for coming over, we'll see you later!" :) It's just SO different, and I love it. Amanda being here allowed us to get the bedrooms upstairs painted - YOU ARE AWESOME! Dan and Emily being here was just a fun few days because they hadn't seen Sawyer yet, we hadn't seen them in forever, and we all went down to Trudy and Denny's on Saturday and hung out on the boat, had some kayak races, celebrated Pat's birthday and his dad's birthday, and just had a good time. It's always fun when there's more than one McDonough (or Collins...for Denny and Greg) male in the room. And Emily - thank you for making Molly feel loved! Oh my gosh I almost forgot to mention that Dan changed his first diaper, too!!
