I shouldn't have left you (left you) without a dope beat to step to. Step to, step to, step to, step to, step to...wikki wikki
No Aaliyah/Timbaland fans? Okay well that was my blast from the past for the day. Anyway - it HAS been a long time since I've updated this super duper blog but I have a good excuse. Our old computer has been driving me CRAZY!! I know the hard drive is almost at max capacity from all the pictures and music we have on it, but I think it might have some other problems far beyond that. Anyway - never to fear! We bought a new computer! Yay!! It's a mac, and so far I am LOVING IT!! But as of right now...no pictures. SO this is going to be a boring post as far as pictures go, but I have some updates.
Sawyer and Greyson have been BAPTIZED!! Thank you to everyone who came to the church for the occasion and to everyone who drove or flew all this way to see us!! We had such a good time. I'm SO glad Sawyer got to see his cousins and that Greyson got to meet them, too! Our families are so are awesome for getting everyone here and for being godparents. Thank you! I love you guys!
Greyson turned 6 months old! At his appointment he weighed 19 lbs 5 oz, which put him in the 80th percentile, and he was 27.5 inches long, which put him at the 72nd percentile. I cannot believe how much this child has caught up, and how quickly he's pulled it off. He's starting to crawl! He's got these chunky legs that I thought I'd never see on him - he laughs at Sawyer all the time, and he's so good at tolerating the play that can sometimes get a little rough for a six month old. He's so awesome. He sleeps through the night! I've gotten their naps to be at the same time, like RIGHT NOW, which is nice because I can have either some quiet time or some hard core get-stuff-done time. Of course Greyson takes a little morning nap, this nap, and then another little one around 4 pm. I just can't believe how easy he is. I guess I should be prepared for his teenage years to be pretty bad. Haha...just kidding.
Sawyer can do some new things, but we're still waiting on him to be ready to talk! He can point to a million different objects when you ask them where something is - I mean every page of every book he knows EVERYTHING. But he won't say the words! I've been really pushing letter sounds and he's starting to "experiment" I guess. When we say yogurt he says "go go". He can say "eeeezz" for "cheese", which is what I've made him start saying instead of PLEASE because apparently he thinks "Please" is "Mmmaa". So he'll just be that weird kid who says, "Can I have some more juice, cheeeeese?" Oh he can also point out a few colors for us. The ones he gets right every time are blue, yellow, and green. He also knows what an octagon is because there's a stop sign on a bus in one of his books and I showed him that it was the same as one of his puzzle pieces. He's doing so well in his toddler bed, too. Oh - he's practically SWIMMING! I forgot to mention that! We've been going to the pool and he'll kick his legs AND do a little doggie paddle! One of us is always holding on to him, but I'm just so excited about his confidence in the water. Greyson has gotten in a couple times, too...and he loves it.
They have started taking baths together too, and that's always a ton of fun. Sawyer just splashes everywhere and Greyson cracks up. They are so funny to watch.
Well, hopefully I will get some pictures and maybe a video or two up pretty soon. I just felt like I needed to let everyone know that we're still here!! :)
