So NOW we're coming up on half way through, since their deployment was extended a bit. No biggie, time is still flying by and they're still in no danger. And honestly, this works out better for us since my exams are scheduled right when he would have his two weeks of post deployment leave. This way there won't be anything else going on and we can just hang out together or go on a little vacation. He should have his email back up and running soon and that will be his main way of communicating. OMG I have to tell you - he sent me the most beautiful red roses on Valentine's Day!! Isn't he so sweet? I know!
School is still going well and I'm learning new and interesting things every day. (Well, every Tuesday and Thursday at least.) I had my first prep class for the CSET (California Subject Exams for Teachers) tonight and it went pretty well, seeing as how I haven't had a math class in five years and they were pulling stuff out that I'd learned in high school. I remembered most of it; had to have my memory jogged a bit on some of the formulas, but I think I'll do well on the test, which is March 15th.
