I went to Auburn this weekend for the Kentucky game. It was a really disappointing football experience, but I got to see a bunch of friends I hadn't seen in a few years! You know that feeling you get when you see people you haven't seen in forever, and seeing their faces just makes you smile so big your face hurts? Yeah that happened to me like five times this weekend. I love it! I have to admit one of those times was because of AUBIE!! He's the best mascot ever. He came out one time as a transformer; we were trying to figure out what was going on and then he flipped this thing over his head, hit the ground and he looked like a tiny car!! It was so funny. He could barely walk in those box shaped things he was wearing.

Billy let me stay with him at his house, and he is the most gracious host ever - he let me have his bed while he slept on the couch even though he's twice my size (well, not so much anymore, but I was once almost half his size). What a sweetie. The bathroom was clean and everything! I wish I had stayed one more day because he doesn't have class on Mondays. I feel like I didn't get to see him at all because all day Saturday I was with my friends at a tailgating spot kinda far away from him, we didn't get to sit together at the game, I wasn't ABOUT to stand in the student section, and we didn't really get to hang out after the game too much cause I didn't get back till almost midnight because of traffic - which was horrible, but I expected it, so I wasn't surprised or disappointed or even frustrated really, I just sat in my car with the heat on groovin to some tunes - and then on Sunday I went and ate with Jeanine before he was even awake and then I left town in such a rush because when I got back he and his friends were going to lunch and I didn't want to keep boys from food! Oh well, he'll probably be back home on some random weekend soon anyway. We got to hang out all Thursday night and Friday, too so I guess we hung out a good amount. He is so great.

I think the baby enjoyed his first Auburn game - he kicked and squirmed the whole time while we were in the stadium, and even though it was freezing I think my two Tshirts, one long sleeved Tshirt, two hooded sweatshirts and two pairs of socks kept us both warm enough! I also got a whole bunch of belly rubs from my friends so I'm sure that made him happy, as well as the Auburn "cuisine" (steamed sandwiches from Momma Goldberg's)!! :)

Auburn's campus has changed SO MUCH since I was last there a couple years ago. I couldn't believe how lost I felt a couple of times just walking around. There's like NO parking left for the students! They've built so many new apartment buildings around campus and dorms on campus that it just didn't even feel like the same place. Pat is going to freak out the next time he goes down there.

Speaking of Pat - I just got a recorded phone message from the "family readiness officer" saying that they're ready to start relief after this hurricane that is about to hit the North Philippines...hits. Pat had originally told me that they'd be back on ship by Wednesday of this week (which is our 3 year anniversary!!), but I'm not sure if the weather is going to affect that or not. I can't imagine they would leave right in the middle of it, but who knows? I haven't heard from him since they got off the ship about a week ago. I'll be sure to update everyone when I do hear something from him.
