I forgot about the Marine Corps birthday!! The Navy baked the guys a birthday cake and served steak and crab legs for dinner. Wonder how they get those yummy things on ship when they’re out in the middle of the ocean? It’s called “replenishment at sea” and the pictures of the helicopter dropping packages on the ship shows how it happens; this particular type is called “vertical replenishment”...I guess horizontal replenishment would be two ships linking together side by side. The helicopters just go back and forth bringing pallets and dropping them off while the guys line up and pass them down the line. Yay for teamwork! Anyway, it was the 234th birthday of the Marine Corps and everyone was very excited, and I forgot to say anything about it. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARINES! (Very late!)
