We have some more exciting news! Pat has been promoted to Captain! And not that this is exciting, because we're going to miss everyone out there and I know Pat especially will miss the guys he worked with, but he was also "farewell-ed" by Golf Battery 2/11 in Camp Pendleton. :( We really are going to miss it!
The pictures above are of the "parting gifts" Pat received. The wooden piece is the lid of an ammo crate, and the silver cup looking thing in the middle of it is a powder canister for a round they use in the Howitzers. I tried to get a better description from him of what exactly it is, but PTI is on ESPN right now, so Pat isn't at all interested in blogging. What is wrong with him?!? The glass looking thing has a quote of Pat's underneath his name...ahem. Go figure.
