Sawyer turned one yesterday - I want to say I can't believe it, but a lot has happened that makes it pretty easy to believe! It is incredible to see what all he's "accomplished" and the difference from one year ago to today. (He's currently pushing the swiffer sweeper across the floor. It's one of his favorite things.) He's a big boy - weighing in at 27 lbs and measuring 32.5" tall, and he knows where his toes are, how to say yes and no, he knows the names of some of his toys, he'll push the button on his glow worm about seven times before he finally decides to try to fall asleep for his naps, he can find his shoes if you ask him to, he gives the best hugs and kisses, he can tell you he's one by holding up one finger, he helps me unload the dishwasher (by handing me each piece of silverware and some of the things he can pick up from the bottom rack - don't worry I make sure his hands are clean before we start, for those of you who have eaten with us), he still only has his four front teeth, two on bottom and two on top, he loves to "talk" with full expression as long as you'll listen and respond, he still loves his baths, books, brushing his teeth, music, and peanut butter, he's eating a little more adventurously now but he's still hesitant with new stuff. He's also starting to pitch little fits when he doesn't get his way - I am not a fan. Overall, he's a happy little guy and he's just full of love. We are so lucky to have him in our lives and he makes us really look forward to the next one we have coming along soon!
A HUGE thank you to all of you who have made Sawyer's first year memorable and enjoyable!! We love you!
