We went to the beach over the weekend - the first time as a family of four! It was so nice, Granddad (or Pots as I'm trying to make his name) and Nana came with us, so Pat and I got to go out and walk on the beach for a little bit, and Pat's cousin's wife, Lilli, came to join us one day, so with all the adults back at the house, I didn't feel too bad sprawled out in the sun all afternoon with her! It was so relaxing. We went to Harbor Island, SC, where there are only a few places to stay, so it's very calm and there just aren't many people there. Ever. Going to the beach with babies is totally different than it was before, but I completely expected it to be crazy so we just had fun with it. I felt like we probably looked like the opening credits of Yes, Dear...when they've got a stroller and seventeen floaties and a bag of sunblock and three umbrellas and nine chairs...but it really was a lot of fun and it didn't seem too difficult at all. (Mainly because Pat pushed the stroller through the soft sand - thanks, sweet husband of mine!) We rented half of a duplex right next to the boardwalk straight out to the beach. This beach is so cool. At low tide, you can literally walk out half a mile and the water is still only at your knees. It's the craziest thing. They have loggerhead sea turtles there, and you have to turn off all the beach front lights during the season when they're nesting and hatching so you don't distract them from going toward the ocean. How cute is that? Anyway, here are some pictures from our trip. I can't believe I didn't take more!!!

Greyson enjoyed his one hour on the beach in his awesome froggie pool.
See? Nobody's there. Why else would I have felt comfortable doing a handstand on the beach?
Sawyer just went straight for the ocean. No reservations whatsoever.
I think he had a better time than this photo would lead one to believe. haha
Oh my gosh he loved it!
If Sawyer was awake, he wanted to be outside. Luckily, there were two decks where we could keep him contained!

Of course Jeffie had to come with us. He's teething like crazy!
Lucky boy...Pots made his famous sourdough French toast! Yummmm!! I think Greyson has learned from Molly that if you hang out underneath the high chair, you can get some good stuff.
You will notice that Sawyer's entire head is wet; he fell a couple times in there, but we scooped him up...no harm done!
