Here's what's been going on around here lately -
Sawyer has been taking full advantage of the fall weather and is loving the swing set. He climbs up it SO quickly - and he's actually been using that rope ladder since this summer, but now he just flies right up it!
For Halloween, my mom was in town and we went to the same pumpkin patch/farm (Hodge's Farm) that we went to last year. The weather was perfect and Sawyer had a great time running around with almost no boundaries. Greyson got a kick out of some of the animals, and we got some good pictures. As far as costumes go, Sawyer was a (homemade) ketchup packet, and Greyson wore the pumpkin outfit that Billy wore 23 years ago! The Hulk costume that Sawyer wore last year was a little big and not very warm, and let's face it, Greyson is SO not Hulk-ish. He's better as a cute lil punkin. :)
Pat and Sawyer raked up the back yard and it was a little bit muddy. Sawyer didn't mind at all. He instinctively ran through the piles of leaves as if he'd done it before, when really, we were excited to see what he'd do because he'd never seen us rake the leaves into piles before.
The Marine Corps Ball was in Myrtle Beach, SC this year. It was a four hour drive, but the boys were really good the whole time, in the car, in the hotel, during the ball, in the car on the way home two days later.
We found some things to do with the kiddos so they could have a fun morning before the ball on Saturday. Sarah went with us (thank you!) and helped me out with the boys. We went to the aquarium and then the playground. Then it was nap time. For everyone.
Aquariums are fun!
This was the most interesting shark for Sawyer.
They had one of those walk-through tunnels that go basically underneath the tanks so the fish/turtles/sharks/whatever else was in there are swimming right over you.
Fish!
Mommy #2 of the day! We love Sarah! (And we missed Tyler over the weekend, but he got to hang out with his grandparents at home.)
At the playground for round 2 on Sunday morning.
The outcasts of the entire district. Seriously. We were the only table with two spare seats. And they had Pat and me facing a wall, as opposed to letting our two seats be the empty ones, so nobody had to have their backs to the rest of the room. So the two best seats at our table were empty. I kinda felt like we shouldn't have been there at all! So weird and very different from all the balls in Auburn and especially out at Camp Pendleton.
Here are some random pictures.
The End
