What day is it????

My gosh, time has gotten away from me. I'm constantly thinking it's Wednesday when it's really Thursday or Tuesday when it's Monday. I'm not even 100% sure on the date today, but I do know that I never posted about Greyson's one year updates!! (In detail.) He is actually trying to talk, which is AWESOME. He says "Ba" for ball, and he actually says DOG, and YEAH, and something that sounds very much like TRUCK but is really just the T sound and the K sound, but at least he knows what a truck is! He also says NO NO NO when he's done eating, and shakes his head back and forth. Sometimes cute, sometimes not. He also says DOWN when he wants out of his high chair and that is my favorite because he concentrates so hard and it is like fourteen syllables long! He's so funny; he loves Sawyer and he loves to wrestle with him and he loves it when Sawyer chases him! He is walking so well now, I mean like no crawling at all unless he is unbelievably tired and then it's a speed crawl with wide set arms and head down. It cracks me up, he looks like a little beetle when he does it. He's got eight teeth now, four bottom and four top. He sleeps really well; I've gotten them both on the same napping and bedtime schedule so that is NICE. He's almost kicked the bottles but he still gets one in the morning and one before bedtime. We had done away with the night time one for a little bit but he just sleeps better when he has it. Throughout the day he gets a sippy cup. He's not quite the eater/drinker that Sawyer was at this age. I mean if Sawyer didn't have a full cup of juice or SOMETHING to eat every ten to fifteen minutes, it was like the end of the world. Greyson could go hours without drinking anything and doesn't snack throughout the day really. (Side note - Sawyer has completely gotten over his pacifier obsession! Yay!) So this is a bit strange to me, I'm always thinking, "Oh my gosh, Greyson hasn't eaten in FOREVER" when really it's only been about 45 minutes, and even when I try to give him a graham cracker or a cup of milk or some yogurt, he's like..."Um yeah, I'm not a HOG like my brother, mom...NOT HUNGRY!" He loves to eat graham crackers, yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, veggies, and milk. He loves to play with basketballs and trains and trucks, really, anything with wheels. When he gets tired, he'll lay down on the floor and use one hand to roll a truck back and forth in front of his face. Oh and he LOVES the train table. Dan and Emily gave the boys a train that actually turns on and runs the track by itself and he used to sit there and watch it go around and around, but now he can sort of chase it and he'll grab it off the track and walk around the house with it, set it down, let it go till it runs into something, pick it up again, and set it off again. He is just so laid back. He's so good in the car and in the stroller, which is good because he's in one or the other or both almost EVERY DAY. So anyway, at his doctor's appointment, he was 24 lbs 12 oz and 31.5 inches tall. I don't remember the percentiles but I think it was around the 80th for weight and the 90th for height. He is growing like a weed.

Also, when we went for Greyson's one year, we also went for Sawyer's two year. He weighed 31 lbs 12 oz and was 36.5 inches tall. He is ALSO growing like a weed. At two years, they give you a height prediction, and, not that I care, but Pat was kinda excited about it...they said Sawyer would probably be 6'1" or 6'2" at the age of 18. When we did the baby center calculator, it said he'd be 6'4"...hahaha we'll see!! I have a feeling Greyson is going to out-grow Sawyer. He has HUGE hands and feet. Oh, not that this has anything to do with growth, but he also has CURLY hair at his neckline. It is so cute. It reminds me of Billy's (my little brother) when he was little, but it's darker and thicker I think. Billy's was really fine blonde curls, which is why we have a home video of his first haircut. Not sure we have one of Amanda's or mine, but whatever, mom!! Hahaha, just kidding.

Silly boys

Look at how big he's getting!

Yum!

I had to put them in the fridge because I made them ahead of time, and the elephants ears and trunks were made out of chocolate and I didn't want them to melt. But it also kept the actual cakes from getting squished too easily!!

The boys had sick tummies from the end of December straight on through till the end of January, so once everyone felt better, I made elephant and monkey cupcakes for them to share!

Peanut Butter Play Dough!!

The slightly OCD child rolling it out perfectly.

Greyson's wishing he could tell Sawyer, "DUDE, YOU CAN EAT IT!!"

We went to a kids' interactive museum down in Rock Hill with GranTrudy, and Sawyer stayed in the kitchen for the majority of the time. He loved the cups and plates, and he carried that teapot around with him for a while, too. He was quite the host.
I'm telling you, the kid loves wheels.
