Firestorms!!

It's fire season! We get a pretty good view of the fires from our back porch. They haven't gotten so close to us that we've been evacuated, but we can sometimes see the orange glow when it gets dark! Just wanted to let you know that we're safe! Luckily, Pat is out in the field right now so he's not having to help out with evacuations or anything. Yes, the fires are springing up in the area where he works, but it's okay because I went and picked up his car with Amanda when she was in town so it's here with me and safe. It actually took me to get my hair cut today after I tried to do it last night in the bathroom sink. I swear I was once able to just cut it and it always looked fine. I have lost my touch.
