Okay so we just talked for a while and he's been given a list of the places where he may be stationed when his time is up in CA. We got to say what our top five choices are of all the cities, which included places like Manhattan, Charlotte, Providence, Cleveland, Houston and Seattle. So...all over the place. We chose in this order: Atlanta, Charlotte, Lexington, Gainesville, and Orlando. We basically just want to be closer to our family now that we've been SO far away the last three years, and especially because we'll have a little one everyone will want to see more often than once or twice a year! It would be cool to live in or near Manhattan, but not right now, and I was kinda intrigued by Providence just because it's so beautiful up there and it SNOWS in the winter, but I can get over it because I'd rather be closer to home this time around. I really don't want to live in Florida because I just have this preconceived idea that it's hotter than crap there and swampy and humid. And they have Alligators!! And hurricane induced insane storms!! Ugh, anyway...we'll see what happens. I don't know when he's going to find out his next duty station but he's sending this off to his monitor or somebody tomorrow.
So event though we get to talk on Skype all the time, I still feel bad that Pat isn't here right now because the baby is moving a LOT lately and he's missing out on it. I mean I don't have people walking up and feeling my belly all the time, thank goodness cause that's weird, but I would definitely want Pat to be able to feel him moving around! We get another ultrasound on Sept 17th so that's something exciting to look forward too.
I am watching the Redskins play the Patriots right now. Jason Campbell is looking good!! Thank goodness, because I read an article in either ESPN or SI that was talking about how he might have fizzled out because he just didn't do as well last season as everyone had hoped but he is looking really good tonight. He just ran the ball for a touchdown, actually! Yay!! I'm so excited for FOOTBALL SEASON!!!
Well I just have to say, it is so nice to be at home. I have been able to see SO many of my friends that I haven't seen in years! I still have a few on my list that I have got to get down to Birmingham and Auburn to see, but it's already just so awesome. I'm substituting again, I know...I'm totally lame, but I've been subbing for the lady who works with my mom in the library, so I've been working with my mom for the last two days and I'm in there all next week, too so we're both enjoying that! :)
That is all for now, I'll be sure to let everyone know where we're off to next the second we find out!! How exciting!!!!
